Otto had a weird little thing, that little bouncy frenetic thing. Then second part got added, and we had a kind of tune. Hacksaw suggested it could be about the moment you realize you’re in love. Otto had a few lyrical ideas. Then Hacksaw suggested the verse music, and the lyrics fell into place. Otto was kneeling on the ground writing like a mad man. We think it worked out. It’s about more than love.
Innovative, yet personal, yet odd. Very rhythmic but interlaced. I dunno, words fail. I listened to Riposte 40 times before I listened to another album. Private Circus
